La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios was built by the Spanish in 1594. Located in Cholula, Puebla, the church is situated atop the Great Pyramid of Cholula — the widest pyramid ever built. The pyramid’s Nahuatl name is Tlachihualtepetl which translates to “artificial hill”, although it’s often referred to as Tepanapa. Today, the pyramid is terribly overgrown and only partially excavated. Visitors can view the excavated portion of the ruins on the pyramid’s south side. The Church of Our Lady of the Remedies can be reached via a steep climb. Once at the top, the ornately decorated interior is worth a look and the panoramic views of the surrounding metropolis are specatcular.

It’s a beautiful church — I was there last year before riding a motorcycle to the nearby volcano.
It definitely is beautiful. By the way, I really enjoyed your video of the ride to the volcano. I would love to do something like that one day!
We see you there: http://www.internations.org/events/view/day-trip-to-beautiful-tows-of-puebla-cholula-with-stunning-vulcano-views:::26009
