“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” –Annie Dillard

I’m a traveler, writer and runner living in Mexico City. My love of travel began with a semester abroad in Rome, Italy in the Spring of 2000. Since then, I’ve traveled to more than 20 countries and across four continents. In 2005, I decided to pursue my passion and commit to making long-term travel a priority. Three years later I left behind a good job in finance, donated nearly all of my possessions and boarded a one-way flight to Mexico City. I spent the following 15 months traveling by bus through southern Mexico, Central and South America, all the way to Ushuaia, Argentina and el fin del mundo!

In early 2010, I returned to Mexico City and decided to stay. A few months later I launched this site to share my experiences traveling in Mexico, learning Spanish and adjusting to life in one of the world’s largest cities. This site is also meant to be an outlet for me to practice and improve my writing as I pursue a career as a professional writer. I’ve written for México Today in association with Marca País – Imagen de México, iStopOver Magazine (formerly PlanetEye Traveler) and USA TODAY Travel.

This site is constantly evolving, as are my experiences in Mexico and my work.
